Privacy notice and-opt out option

Speakman Insurance Agency considers your insurance needs and provides insurance from Farm Bureau Insurance for property, casualty, automotive, life, and disability needs. Your privacy regarding your personal information is important for us to secure, and only the information necessary to secure your custom policy is collected. This information may include your name, date of birth, social security number, driver’s license number, home address, details regarding your home and other structures, telephone number, email, and vehicle information. Our computers safeguard against theft of this information with our home office managing our computers. We have a dual login required when turning on our computers before they are functional, and the home office protects against viruses, spam, fishing, smishing, and other forms used by those that may attempt to steal information. After hours, our building is locked, and computers are shut down.

Data is only shared with lienholders, our underwriters, our technical department if needed, and those with written and legal authorization from the client to view the personal information.

Clients and potential clients have the right to to access, update, or have their information deleted from our system. Client access to their policy requires entering their policy number and secure password to access that information. Clients can contact our office and have any information regarding their policy provided to them during working hours.

Speakman Insurance Agency does not collect your information by visiting our website. We only collect information from clients or potential
clients from those persons themselves, whether they offer/send the information via telephone, email, text, or in person. We don’t sell, trade, or make a person’s personal information available to the public outside of Farm Bureau Insurance, other than the bare minimum required to write a policy for the potential client, such as communicating with the client’s lienholder in order for the purchase of a house to close properly. Phone numbers collected for calls or SMS are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Clients and potential clients personally provide us with their contact information in order to communicate with them regarding their policy. This may include contact preferences of telephone, email, text, and/or home mailing address. Any data on our computers are secured with screen time-out due to non-use, and a minimum of dual log-in to our Farm Bureau Insurance program with personal identifiable information. After hours, our computers are shut down and our building is locked.
