Insure your business to ensure your ability to protect your income.

Business and Commercial Insurance

Simplified – Comprehensive – Package Policies

Business Owners Policies are designed to include common and important coverage options needed by businesses with operating locations.  This includes:

  • Building and Property Coverage
  • Liability Coverage
  • Employers Liability Coverage
  • Loss of Income Coverage
  • and more…

Home-Based Businesses

Homeowners policies usually exclude liability related to income producing endeavors.  A commercial general liability policy will serve to provide home based businesses with needed protection.

Contractors

The Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses usually requires that you maintain a Commercial General Liability policy with a minimum of $300,000 coverage. The cost of coverage varies based on the contractor’s specialty and the volume of work, as determined by estimated gross income. Most jobs require that a contractor show proof of coverage and provide a certificate of insurance. Contractors may also obtain the following coverage as part of the same policy:

  • Builders Risk – Protects a structure while it is under construction.
  • Installation Floater – Covers materials that have been delivered but not yet installed.

  • Tools – Covers hand and power tools owned by the contractor and used at job sites.

  • Mobile Equipment – Insures equipment such as tractors, excavators, and other machinery, whether owned or rented.

  • Vehicle Coverage – Covers work trucks and trailers used by the contractor.

Workers Compensation

If you have employees, you are required by law to carry workers’ compensation insurance. There is a criteria list that defines an employee versus a sub-contractor, regardless of the title you assign. We can help you determine the correct classification and make securing workers’ compensation coverage simple and straightforward.
